The Model United Nations Conference on Environment and Development is unique and differs from normal MUNs. Our aim is it to make this conference more realistic and more impactful than any other events before. Thus we provide participants with the most current resolutions of the United Nations Environmental Assembly and the COP of UNFCCC.

Offering only  workshops by UN staff, climate experts and practitioners in the field of water, degradation of soils, food security and pollution but also their support and help throughout the whole conference. This will happen during the first day. During the next days it is upon the delegates to discuss, negotiate and write a resolution towards a pollution free planet, addressing the issues of water and degradation of soils.  The new resolution formed by the participants embodies a blueprint for the protection and preservation of oceans, lakes, rivers, streams and other waterways, as well as ground water and soils.  Topics covered during the discussions could be agriculture and forest management, biodiversity and sustainable tourism.

The committee to be simulated by the participants is the Conference of the Parties of United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, also known as COP 1 to the last COP 23 in Bonn.

Moreover, the participants can choose between the role of either a diplomat or an expert representing a country of their own choice. Participants will be able to choose from all 196 countries represented at the COP. Please note that roles and countries will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
